    AXIOM is looking to hire one full-time EDI Customer & Software Support Specialist for our Phoenix, AZ office.  The ideal candidate will have a skilled technical and healthcare EDI background serving a high clientele within a call center environment.  The candidate will work directly with the support and sales team providing application support to our customers. 

    Responsibilities

    The Product Support Specialist is responsible for processing inbound calls from users inquiring about electronic healthcare claim submissions and AXIOM’s provider products.

     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Researching and troubleshooting  X12 5010 transactions
    • Entering information into the ticketing system for call tracking purposes
    • Setting up and Training users on AXIOM’s network service and medical billing applications
    • Serving as a principal liaison between clients, vendors, and payers

    Qualifications

    • Associates degree and/or certifications in areas related to the following are preferred:
      • Medical billing
      • Health Information Technology
    • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in related fields
    • Knowledge of standards, concepts, practices and procedures within areas of healthcare, EDI X12 and HIPAA 5010 transactions required
    • Knowledge of ICD-10 and Procedure codes for Professional and Institutional type billings
    • Basic understanding of healthcare claims processing for professional and institutional claims
    • Call center environment experience is a plus
    • Customer service experience required
    • Medical billing knowledge is required
    • Ability to access and retrieve information using a PC and basic understanding of Windows OS is required (MAC OSX is a plus)
    • Ability to navigate within networks and network directories is a must
    • Understanding application installations, website access and different file transfer protocols is a plus
    • Understands limitation of technologies in relation to business processes
    • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and multiple concurrent projects
    • Must be a Team Player
    • Good written and verbal communication skills including professional telephone skills is a must
    • Possess ability to work efficiently under aggressive deadlines
    • Self-directed, with strong multi-tasking, organizational and documentation skills
    • Being detail oriented, punctual, and disciplined is a must
