    To support its clients AXIOM is looking to fill an Implementation Test Lead/Manager position. The ideal candidate will have experience working as part of a team or as a team lead within a consulting environment and will have:


    Relocation is not required, though weekly travel is.



    The Test Lead/Manager will coordinate the testing of code, system, and configuration changes (i.e., End to End) as a result of the system implementation.


    The Test Lead/Manager will work collaboratively with the Program & Project Managers and executive sponsor

    • Identify impacted functional areas and external partners.
    • Determine what interaction, if any, is required for project testing and coordinate this interaction with client, and any impacted functional areas, as well as external partners.
    • Work with the Project Manager to develop and distribute a general public notification of testing timelines to any impacted functional areas and external partners.
    • Create a schedule of timelines to include dates when each changes will be ready for  testing and dates when each impacted area (internal and external) is scheduled for testing. 
    • Create a plan to assess overall readiness for testing.  Include the identification of correct artifacts that impacted functional areas and external partners must have prior to testing.
    • Determine and document test procedures to be followed by the impacted functional areas and external partners.  Communicate
      these test procedures to the impacted functional areas and external partners.
    • Work with the Project Manager to develop a process for documenting defects identified when testing with impacted functional areas and external partners and the resolution of such defects.
    • Develop a re-test strategy with impacted functional areas and external partners.
    • Develop a detailed procedure to keep track of the status of testing with each identified impacted functional area and external partners.
    • Coordinate the execution of testing with QA, Development (as needed), and the impacted functional areas and external partners, performing near real-time analysis of observed performance during and immediately after test execution.  For defects or issues
      identified during testing that require more than immediate time to resolve, document these defects or issues and continue with testing as is appropriate.
    • Coordinate the verification of test results with client and impacted functional areas and external partners.
    • Work with QA to develop a test plan for testing, utilizing any materials already used by QA and User Acceptance (UA) testing. Positive and negative testing scenarios should be used.


    The successful candidate will have:

    • At least 8 years of experience working in a healthcare (payer) environment - required.
    • Strong regulation knowledge of both HIPAA 5010 transaction set and (particularly) ICD-10 initiatives - required.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and writing) - required.
    • Experienced in developing and execution of business test scenarios, use cases, and industry-standard QA protocols - required.
    • Must have strong previous experience in the HIPAA transaction set.
    • Deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicare), business processes, and EDI infrastructures.
    • Proven consulting experience with ability to work at both the senior manager level and staff level.
    • Self-starter, problem solver and willing to travel.
    • Previous leadership assignments and project management experience.
    • Previous experience in conducting impact assessment is a plus.
    • Proficient in the Microsoft Tool Suite
